A Message from Our President

Welcome to Catholic Concern for Animals – Cameroon. Since our founding in 2008, we have dedicated ourselves to creating a world where all creatures are treated with dignity and compassion. Our organization brings together effective altruists from diverse backgrounds who share a common love for animals and concern for environmental protection.
As an officially registered charity (Reg. No. SW/GP02/08/6729), we work tirelessly to improve animal welfare, protect biodiversity, and contribute to sustainable development in Cameroon. Through education, advocacy, and direct intervention, we’re making a difference in communities across the South West Region and beyond.
We invite you to explore our work and join us in building a more compassionate world for all living beings.
— Dr. Philipp Tah Fon, President
Our Major Programs
Animal Welfare Initiatives

We support the sheltering of dogs, puppies, and cats to prevent road accidents and abandonment. Our work includes providing quality nutrition, veterinary services including rabies vaccination, and parasite prevention. We advocate for spaying and neutering to prevent overpopulation that leads to animal abandonment.
Enviromental Protection

Through educational campaigns and advocacy, we work to protect diverse habitats and preserve biodiversity. Our initiatives focus on responsible stewardship of natural resources and ecosystem conservation throughout Cameroon.
Sustainable Development

We recognize climate change as the most critical challenge facing our planet. Our interventions include education about how animal exploitation and forest footprints contribute to climate change, raising awareness, and promoting adaptation strategies.
Climate Change Action

As supporters of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we ensure our work reflects goals related to Life below Water, Climate Action, Zero Hunger, and Life on Land. We implement projects that advance these global priorities while addressing local needs.
Ethno-Vet Garden: Our Pioneering Initiative
We are proud to be the first animal welfare organization in Cameroon to establish and maintain an ethno-veterinary garden with medicinal plants for treating various animal health problems. This innovative resource:
Contains diverse medicinal plants collected from various sources
Provides natural treatments for common animal health issues
Is accessible to animal owners free of charge (with written permission)
Serves as an educational tool for traditional animal medicine
Preserves indigenous knowledge of plant-based veterinary treatments
